Best Friends New York
We are so excited that Best Friends Animal Society is now on the ground in New York City, helping to save the lives of homeless pets by supporting other organizations in their efforts to make New York no-kill permanently and raising awareness about the amazing animals available in U.S. shelters. The Best Friends Pet Adoption Center in New York City serves as both a space for local pets to find homes, and an outlet for the national no-kill message, helping to spread the word about Best Friends’ efforts to lead the country to no-kill by 2025.
Located in the stylish SoHo neighborhood, the center showcases adoptable animals from local shelters and rescue organizations. Dogs and cats are housed in a playful, gallery-style setting designed to encourage interaction and help convey the challenges facing our country’s homeless pet population. The space also features interactive displays and maps to inspire and engage people from all around the country to work for no-kill in their own communities, and to help Save Them All.
We took a visit to style up some of the most adorable, adoptable Best Friends pups, and took them on a stroll to strut their stuff through Soho.

BENTLEY
Looking for an adventure buddy? Look no further, because Bentley is your dude. He has energy for days and is eager to please.
Taking walks is his all-time favorite activity and he makes sure to greet each and every passerby along the way!
MYRTLE
Sweet Myrtle's top two favorite things : people and soft, squeaky toys! Myrtle is super affectionate and enjoys nothing more than sitting by your side and getting pets.
And the very tip of her tongue sticks out at all times...which at first glance, seems like a taunt - but really it's not, it's just her adorable signature look.
ORION
As a one-year-old puppy, Orion, is very energetic but quick to settle down on his bed with a good toy.
He's eager to learn and very treat-motivated; he already knows sit, down and he is REALLY close to learning roll-over. This young fellow will definitely bring tons of joy and fun to his forever family!
WYATT
Wyatt is a true New Yorker, a fact that shines through via his keen fashion sense!
He loves to jump and play, stands on his hind legs for an impressive amount of time and can't ever get enough back scratches, EVER!
